Good Ad Ugly.

I bought the turntable because of several features, but in the end it disappointed me. First, good. The sound is good as the radio and CD player work well and the controls and USB recording work as advertised. The instructions are clear and the recorded audio stays at the same level. The appearance of the player is retro, which makes it more attractive when it is not hidden but hidden. However, this does not make up for the shortcomings. Cons: First, as a turntable, you expect the turntable to play records the way they were intended. The problem is that this machine doesn't play vinyl records at the right speed. The player plays music much faster. In fact, the song 3:14 plays less than 3 minutes. If you record now, you can edit it in another program, but why bother? Or if you want to play something new, you'll just have to deal with the increased speed. Since the rotation speed of the player is not adjustable, it is useless in this case. Second, the clasps holding the top had already fallen off when the player arrived. (see photos) These were the weakest bars money could buy. If I want to keep this piece of shit, I have to replace it. Finally, the turntable stops prematurely on some records. This happens on very long records where (to put it simply) the record is played very close to the center of the paper label. Eventually the player just stops! So far I have two records that I can't record because the turntable has some kind of "limiter" where the platter stops when the needle gets near the center. This also renders the player useless. One star reflects utility as a turntable, which is why everyone is likely to buy it. If you're looking for a good or average radio or CD player, you won't buy this; However, if you need an LP player, keep looking. CSK
