Great quality but calories may be higher than advertised

This is really high quality cat food. It's just chicken soaked in chicken broth and sunflower oil. In a pinch, you could probably mix in some mayonnaise and make a passable chicken salad sandwich out of it. Good to have on hand during a pandemic. It's definitely not A-grade chicken, so it tends to be very sticky, but I see that as a positive because it gets my cat chewing it instead of just inhaling it. It's high protein, low fat and zero carbs. It's expensive, but you can mix it with cheaper pie food and dramatically improve the quality of your cat's diet. In fact, you probably have to mix it into your cat's food first or she won't eat it because it's so different from any other cat food. My cat was skeptical at first, but not for long. One thing to keep in mind, however, is that I think the actual calorie count is higher than what's listed on the jar. I adopted a very overweight adult cat and I sensibly kept her at 240 calories a day so she slowly lost weight and it worked until I added this food to her diet. His weight loss stalled and then reversed. I did a little research and AAFCO lists it as 82 cal/100g, but the jar says it's 79. It's a tiny difference - less than 5% - but it was enough to stall my furball's diet. I feed him anyway, but I had to reduce the portion a bit.
