Review on πŸ“Έ Neewer Heavy Duty 2.5-inch Grip Head Swivel Mount Adapter for Light Stand, Boom Arm, and Photography Equipment with Multiple Mount Sizes (Black) by Brent Henderson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Must be disassembled to fit through the center of the post.

The mount consists of 6 main parts: 1 small and one large mounting handle, one part with a 5/8 inch hole, two other parts form the "jaws" that clamp it. Tripods of various sizes and an aluminum insert with 1/4" and 3/8" threads that fits into a piece with a 5/8" hole so that it can be screwed onto the top of any standard tripod. It is strong enough for almost any job, but I needed to attach it to a lamp post that already had a lot of hardware installed, I expected to be able to loosen the large handle and slide the split jaws over the pole (without sliding it down one end ).No, the jaws aren't far enough apart for that, so I had to take two jaws apart, mount them on a rack and put them back together in the correct order with the springs and washers - there's a lot of grease on my hands..Note to the Manufacturer: Unscrew the large locking handle just enough to open the jaws 1/2 inch.

Pros
  • Lighting and Studio
Cons
  • Very Expensive
