This set was purchased to accompany the simple kid kitchen gift for my grandson's 2nd birthday. He has a play kitchen at daycare and also loves to help out at home. His Mom loved the teachability of the velcroed halves of food items plus the carrying case to collect all the items for easy pick up. The only minor complaint I have is- why so many stereotypical pink items? Both boys and girls , men and women, cook, serve and do housework in the 21st century! Mary B.
