After much research and after having several brands of weighted blankets in my shopping cart, I finally decided on these for Christmas. A family friend works for a company that makes them and they offered me one to try and I bought two more as gifts for my girls and someone from our area embroidered their names. Here's a picture of them all lined up to sleep under the tree on Christmas Eve 😊 I was worried they might be a bit small but now that the girls are underneath I think they're for kids and everyone larger size are suitable. More weight would be too heavy for my children. I think I might get one this size to use as a lap blanket on the couch. The triangular pockets distribute the weight well and the duvet cover has plenty of buttons on the inside to keep it secure. The material is softer than I expected. The main reason I was interested in this brand was the 100% organic materials, but sometimes that can mean the fabric isn't as soft to the touch. It's not as plush as the Minky cover, but again I was pleasantly surprised by the feel. I washed them in the cold before embroidering and then dried them in case they should shrink. I think it's worth having the ones that have a separate duvet cover for easy washing. And I love how cute their names turned out on the zipper! Girls are enthusiastic and feel comfortable underneath. Gentle pressure will help them calm down. I am very happy to see if it helps them fall asleep easier in the long run and my little one stays up at night 🤞
