Nice Rustic Look with Functional Size and Decent Durability

We love the look of this lightly burned wood napkin coaster. Lightly burned wood is an age old way of preserving words, so I love that aspect as much as its aesthetic. In the first photo I've shown it with two common napkin sizes, one (the smaller party/snack type) fills the gap perfectly, the larger dinner type overlaps about 1" all the way around. not SUPER tight so there is a bit of flexibility as shown in the other two photos. It's basically an edge that folds onto ours (on the right in the photos). I would have preferred to have a bead of glue on the edge to keep it in place. Don't worry about the wood scratching the table or countertop, noisy or slippery, it has 4 small rubber feet that keep it in place and won't scratch it. The flexibility might protect it from easy tears if dropped, but it's fairly light and thick. enough, I really don't expect a problem unless my little one attacks him with a hammer or tries his fastest serve with him or something. Sturdy enough to sit on a table and hold napkins, a lovely look if you opt for a natural or rustic theme. It goes well with our 1850's farmhouse with modern touches.
