I have a 2014 BMW 335i (F30). It has an AUX port in the center console. My smartphone is the LG G8 Thinq. Thankfully, it has a headphone jack. I download music to my phone through Revain Prime. Also, my car has upgraded speakers (aftermarket by FOCAL) and an upgraded amplifier (Match Up 7BMW). This combination of upgraded speakers/tweeters/amplifier + wired output = audio heaven. However, I also recently bought a head unit with Android 10, this new head unit has features that allow you to watch YouTube or stream videos. Therefore, this head unit must also be connected to this AUX port. In an ideal world, I'd have to use an Android 10 head unit's Bluetooth to play music. But the quality definitely falls a step behind (the device doesn't offer the Bluetooth APTX protocol and even that might not be enough to get the sound quality I have on the OEM side). In any case, I was thinking of buying this little box. In theory, I should be able to connect my phone's 3.5" cable to channel A and the Android 10 head unit's 3.5" cable to channel B. I would then run another 3.5 inch male to male cable. ” from my AUX input the center. Console with the input/output port of the box. I was hoping to switch it to A to listen to music through my phone via the wired output / switch to B to hear Android 10s audio while watching videos. Without this device, I would just manually unplug one cable and plug another back and forth. And it worked! I press "A" when I want to hear what my phone is saying. I can switch to "B" if I want to hear what the main Android unit is outputting. It's without distortion. What a great gadget!
