Jets too low on windshield

Jets are the same style, design and fit as my factory Dodge (2013 Journey). They are very easy to insert, literally just snap into the holes and then reconnect the plumbing. Thought and worked on removing and/or reinstalling the tubes, especially when replacement tubes are needed, but it is quite doable without having to take the car to the shop and pay (usually $50 or more) to have them installed. Unfortunately in my case the water jet from the injectors was misaligned for my car and windshield. They work, but the water jet doesn't splash (1), not even (2) and doesn't reach the center (or even the bottom edge) of my windshield (3) like standard (OEM) nozzles (1) do. ) Non-fanning water jet means that the water jet is not fan-shaped and does not spread out along the "flow" of water. I stay away from the word "stream" because it's not a stream of water and windshield sprayers aren't meant to be a stream. They are intended to be a fan that spreads water evenly across this fan shape to cover a wider/larger area of the windshield. Some car windshield nozzles can spray more flow, but are still fan-shaped to cover and wet a larger area of the windshield. In any case, the lack of airflow and the jet being more inclined to the water flow is not necessarily a bad thing, as it still delivers the same amount of water and the degree of saturation can be as important as area coverage (spray) (2). ) Irregularity of water jet refers to the fact that at each nozzle the water jet is unevenly distributed across the water jet. More water comes out of the nozzle from different zones of its spraying/"flow". For example, more water exits from one side of a water jet than from the other side of the same water jet. (3) The jet of water barely reaches the bottom edge of my windshield and mostly just splashes on my hood or under the hood. Windshield wipers. This may be because these injectors cover a very wide range of car makes and models and are suitable because the holes they fit into are the same. However, some vehicle makes and models may have their wiper nozzles further or closer to the windshield than others, meaning that the distance from where the nozzles sit to the end of the hood and the beginning of the windshield may be different. Hood angles and windshield angles will make a difference, but for most, if not all, of the vehicles listed that will fit, they all have very similar/similar characteristics. I even tried moving or adjusting the jets to see if I could manipulate the jet of water or move it to hit the windshield higher, to no avail. The distance from the nozzle to the edge of my hood is 5 inches (pictured). The distance from the nozzles to the center of my windshield where the stock nozzles spray and the optimal position is 24 inches (shown). The spray from these nozzles only reaches 16 inches (shown) which is far too small for full/best coverage. They're good value for money if you're willing to risk a possibly sub-optimal spray location (maybe yours will work better than mine). They work and spray the windshield but may not be good enough to properly clean the windshield like in my case. Nozzles to the edge of the hood and/or the distance from the nozzle to the center of the windshield like mine, then you can have the same performance and look at other companies instead, or just eat the cost out of the car for an OEM pair.
