It is clear that most do not want to rack their brains with manual settings and prefer to shoot in auto mode. Pictures in this case are mediocre. Select manual mode P, set the minimum ISO (80 or 100) and that's it - get amazing quality photos. But HD-video, although very high quality, has no practical value. An hour-long movie takes up 14 gigabytes, and to burn it to a DVD, you still have to compress it to 4.5 GB due to quality degradation.
