Review on 🚽 Effective Cleaning with Impact 201 Blue Deluxe Toilet Bowl Mop - 5-3/4" Diameter x 12" Length by Erika Wright

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Such a simple thing, but a huge improvement over what I've always used

I'm often surprised and annoyed when a reviewer complains about the size of an item when the dimensions are clearly stated. It arrived and I was surprised at how short it is, but that doesn't seem to matter. Most people are probably used to the standard brush that comes in a stainless steel tube or is available at your local grocery store. I've used them but wasn't particularly happy with them. Yes they clean the toilet but the jets are squeezing and not entirely effective. Oddly enough, I started looking for a more decorative option, but found this one (and another one that's probably better than the default) along the way. I decided to try this first because the fibers are synthetic and probably dry faster than cotton. I think that's true as long as it's placed to dry after use. It works better than bristly ones, goes under the lip and cleans without squeezing. Seems to need less toilet cleaner (I use Mrs. Meyers) and I'm used to the need. Wiping the outside edges and underside of the seat is easier and there are fewer drips. The handle is shaped so that the brush with the wet part can be placed over the toilet and the handle can be wedged between the bowl and the lid. I left it like that for a while, took it off the next time I went to the toilet and it was only slightly damp. I didn't want to buy another stainless steel tube for him - when I bought this one I was missing a cleaning unit so I looked for something else to use between uses. The next time I went to my favorite thrift store, I found the perfect place to keep it: a donated Teleflora bowl-shaped vase with a hole in the top. The short handle is handy again - oops, sorry for the pun - it doesn't offer the long counterweight that might otherwise pull it or pull both brush and pot. Overall I call it a success and doubt I would buy stainless steel/bristle brushes again.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Doubt
