When I first took it out of the box the clear part of the case looked very scratched and fogged up but the inside and outside were actually thin pieces of foil. So be sure to remove both sides. It's quite difficult to get the original shell but when removed it looks exactly like the pictures. I was relieved because I thought I would have to send it back but at the end of the day this is a product that can be preserved.
