I'm having trouble with two adapters for my Dell Inspiron 5579 laptop. The 2 aftermarket units I bought never worked properly and weren't "recognized" by the system. I believe that if it is not detected, the system performance will be reduced on purpose to protect the computer. Also, I always had trouble connecting the plug to my laptop, I had to move it to charge it. After using this charger for a few weeks I am very happy with it. My bios recognizes this as the correct power source and charges at 65w. No need to shake or twist the plug - it just slides in and works as it should, imagine!
