Bought these to try a different in-ear retention design as none of the hookless types stay in my ears no matter how much force is used to twist them. So I decided to give them a try as the Sony name, reputation and price were all reasonable. Earhooks cause more pain than I thought. I have a small earring with a wrong earbud and I always have a hard time fixing this earlobe. In general, both sides are not the easiest to install. The extra bass claim is just a claim in my opinion as they don't fit snugly in the ear canal, it's impossible to get deep bass with them. They sound good if you can do without very deep bass.
