While I really like the space saving functionality of this adapter, it causes image issues when outputting 2560 x 1440 @ 144Hz. In particular, the image has all sorts of poses and weird color issues because it the bandwidth is limited. I thought my monitor would start interfering until I removed this unit. A good example of how digital video isn't just all or nothing, ones or zeros. Digital video signals are still transmitted as analog signals and this adapter ensures the integrity of those signals. Too bad that DisplayPort cables with rectangular connectors are not as common as HDMI.
