The material is swimsuit type fabric and is very comfortable. The inner briefs are more of a boy-short cut, which is nice since it avoids a panty- line look. They are a nice loose fit but don’t ride up in the water. I wore them to an amusement park & water park. They were comfortable for walking around the park and withstood the waves in the wavepool. They do run slightly bigger than expected. I am right between the measurements for the L and XL so went with the XL. I could have ordered the large without them bring too tight. (For reference, I wear size 14 in shorts/pants). Absolutely quick dry, which was also nice. I’m considering ordering another color in a large.
