Review on 🔌 Leviton 80301-SW 1-Gang Decora Plus Wallplate: Screwless Snap-On Mount (10 Pack, White) - Enhanced Aesthetics & Easy Installation by Willie Ogunlana

We decided to replace the wall panels on virtually every outlet and light switch in our large home. All the old wall panels had screws that looked outdated, cheap and ugly. At the same time, we got rid of oval contract sockets and supplied Levitron Decora (rectangular sockets), Levitron T5325-W sockets. We had to replace over 30 wall panels. I bought a couple of Levitrons, a Lutron and a pack of 10 Best Wall Plates. I was curious that the best compared to the average Levitron prices is significantly cheaper compared to the even more expensive Lutron. Levitron was the clear winner of my comparison. The Lutron is solid and well built, but it does have a gap where the front panel you see connects to the back panel, which attaches to the outlet or switch. This gap extends in all directions. It's wider than a dime (see photo), this gap can collect dust and break the clean lines of a screwless record. For this reason, I do not recommend Lutron. The Lutron is slightly larger than the Levitron and this can be useful to hide paint scratches or if you have a previous paint color around the switch because the painter didn't remove the switch covers before painting. The Levitron is easier to install than the best since the screws are already on the back and not in the clear plastic shrink wrap. When using Levitron switches and outlets, the wall plate will fit the outlet or switch exactly. If you place a Besten wall plate around the Levitron switch, the Besten will be a little shinier and a little cooler in color, but the difference will be quite subtle. Besten Wall Panels are available in two sizes, the smaller one is used when space is limited and the larger one is used for covering color issues. If size isn't an issue, the small additional cost of switches, outlets, and Levitron plates is money well spent.
