There really is a top and bottom piece
I was confused by this hanger because it looked like it was in two pieces and I couldn't hold the magnets together. Just before I gave up and threw it away I realized there were FOUR pieces and I had to separate the top and bottom. After that it worked great for hanging a small thin tapestry and saved me trying to sew a dowel to the back. So now I'm happy (if a bit confused).
