Are you in the same situation as me and have THOUSANDS of photos on your iPhone (XS Max)? I filled up my 50GB iCloud storage a long time ago and was only able to move the photos I needed most to my computer, usually via email. Why didn't I just use iTunes? I hate iTunes, and a few times when I've moved photos I've had the feeling that someone feels like they're riding in a stranger's car while being forced to wear a blindfold (but just thinking about it, never really was). Where have my photos gone? What are the file names? Why can't I find them in the Photos section of my PC? Maybe I'm thinking too much, but I'm used to having complete control over how my files move, and Apple thinks they know better and give you blindfolded software. But the thing works! With just a few swipes, I can select photos, video clips or document files and easily copy them to any popular and easily portable storage device. However, I had to play around with the copying process a bit to get it working. Some internet research revealed the steps needed to copy as there are NO instructions included with the reader. There's not even a QR code on the box to direct someone to a referral website. Why? Sorry I didn't post screenshots of the steps I followed to create a copy as I didn't want to accidentally view potentially sensitive content on my device. However, an internet search shows the process clearly.
