Works as described, I ordered this part and watched the youtube video on how to fit it. Took me about 30 minutes of work. A very simple solution if you hear a ticking noise in the dashboard when adjusting the air conditioning. In my case it came on when I turned off the AC or parked the car and continued on very loudly for about a minute and was embarrassing when there were passengers in the car. I have a 2007 Chevy Impala LT.
