We bought the SlumberPod because we are visiting family for 3 weeks and our 1 year old will be sleeping in the same room as us. It worked like magic and our baby even slept better than in his own bed - we got an extra hour in the morning and any early riser parent knows how great that is. It's pitch dark inside. Even with the front flap open, it's dark enough to sleep in. Our main concern was that our son would wake up and see us, so we only closed the valve at night. We didn't use a fan to sleep but bought a larger rechargeable fan (I'll link to that at the end) and attached it to the top. This worked great, although I'm not sure we need it. He had an adjustment day, but we found leaving the front valve open until he was comfortable helped. In my experience with newborns, I can see how this thing will change lives. I will definitely use it next time and have already shared its magic with my friends and family.
