We bought this largest blanket for my 14 month old and put it right under the sheet to use as a waterproof layer. We use it every day and have washed it twice since then and are very happy with the purchase. Here are some pros and cons I have listed for this product: Pros: 1. The Suface material feels soft and comfortable enough that I can use it as a top layer in direct contact with the baby's skin.2 . The material holds up well after two washes and looks like new.3. Amazing water resistance. In the attached video you can see how I poured 500ml of water almost completely in the center of the pad, the paper towel I put under the pad was completely dry. This is after two washes.4. My kid doesn't sweat on it like the other waterproof mat we have. The material is much more breathable than other lining fabrics we have. This one is also much thinner. Cons: 1. Even the largest size is not enough to cover the full length of the crib. This will not be a big problem for us, since the area of the baby diaper is usually in the closed area of the insert. If you want to use it as a picnic blanket or play mat, that's no problem for you either.
