I use them for various tasks. They are helpful in treating my dry, cracked fingertips. I can use one over a bandage, or I can put a cream or ointment on my fingertip and let it "swim" in the solution for a long time while I can still work with my hands. I also use these and other latex fingertips to protect my fingers and nails when hand holding and shaping the stones with a grinder. They protect my fingers and nails from wear and tear, and when the grinder touches one of them, it reminds me to change position and get my fingers out of the way. I've also used them when working with wet ceramic clay and polymer to avoid fingerprints. And while they're quite thick, they still allow your fingers to remain fairly tactile. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 isn't a quality issue, it's because I find the assortment in this pack a bit odd. However, they all fit on each of my fingers.
