The outside of the case is made of this soft-touch silicone and the inside is made of something that feels like suede. This was a bonus for me. It fits snugly around the edges of the phone and is a bit more difficult to remove, but at least dirt and dust doesn't get in. Thick enough to easily withstand a fall, while being thin and light. UPDATE 6/21: Case is too sticky. At first this update wanted to praise him (left the phone in the trunk and drove away. It didn't fall down), but now because it's sticky, it pulls everything out of the pocket, including the pocket itself. This has happened one too many times and after this update i lost my keys. Didn't hear them fall, I wear very little stuff on them so didn't notice. It's also generally annoying to get your phone out of your pocket, especially when you're wearing tight-fitting clothes like joggers or just sitting down.
