The king (aka the cat) LOVES this apartment! He's a big boy so I was worried it would be too small but it actually fits him just right. I'm short on space so I needed something that worked and fit its scope lol and also fit my space. It was pretty easy to put together, just take a look at all the steps before you start and it should be easy. All the holes lined up and it took maybe 20 minutes. Not sure what the other reviewers meant by wing nut as there is no wing nut in the details, the design may have changed recently. All screws are level, sit flush, nothing protrudes. It feels very solid and for the price you really can't beat it. My son loves sleeping in it. The bowl at the bottom is a bit awkward, but it contains his toy mouse, so it's cool. I wish there was more sisal rope on the top pillars so I could add that later. He likes the sisal rope stands underneath. He also loves the hammock seat and snuggles up to it to take a nap. The color is gray-blue. The material is very soft and I appreciate the removable upper seat pad because it's a lot easier to clean. If you have a big cat but your space is a bit small, this is perfect for all your needs. Was well packaged with easy instructions, just check out all the steps before you start. I think a 12 year old could assemble it. I don't think two cats would be happy but my only big boy loves it. The only downside would be that it smells a bit like MDF when you first take it out of the box, but when you let it air out for "exhausts". After an hour in the sun, the smell disappears. I'm used to it and it's to be expected with this type of material so I'm not deducting a star for that. I'm thinking of buying another one for the ground floor because I think the king will ask for it. Now the king is even more spoiled and strutting around like he owns the place, so it definitely blew his ego. but let's face it, I live in HIS house, not the other way around lol.
