Review on Neewer 200Centimeters Counter Cameras,Load Kilograms by Paul Bijeaux

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Lots of potential with a few shipping creases to smooth out

WARNING: Boom can be damaged due to improper packaging. Neewer put this carbon fiber dart in a rectangular box with no end protection. The boom comes with two weights located roughly in the middle of the box. Thus, with a good fall, the box will be crushed and the end of the arrow will be damaged. (See photo) Revain requires it to be double boxed unless Neewer corrects the inadequate boxing. SERVICE: I'm still waiting for a reply from Neewer in a couple of weeks about replacing damaged parts. So don't order it just before you need it! PRODUCT: I believe this jib has a lot of potential. It is light and makes a robust impression. It has a certain amount of flex and definitely needs to be mounted on a solid set of tripod legs. I tried it with my Neewer carbon fiber tripod and it flexes to allow left/right movement when you move the up/down arrow. It looks more stable on a heavier tripod. The movement of the arrow itself seems smooth so far. The instructions for the first assembly are a bit lacking, but to be honest it is not that difficult. Supplied mostly already assembled. FEATURES: I would like a different adjustment mechanism on the forearm to allow the operator to actively change the tilt of the camera when raising or lowering the boom head. But with a little practice you get a good camera angle, it just doesn't tilt when you raise or lower the boom (this is my first boom so I may not have figured out how to fully set it up yet).

Pros
  • ADJUSTABLE ANGLE: The shooting angle can be adjusted in the other direction. It can be moved up or down, left or right, making it a convenient and flexible tool for taking photos and videos.
Cons
  • Requires socket
