I wouldn't normally buy a black tray to put on a black coffee table but I bought this because I plan to buy a new coffee table in one different colour, whether in our current home or our next, and I really wanted the tray to be a color that created a lot of contrast. Needless to say, this is exactly what I was looking for. Now the review of the product is actually ideal. I don't buy anything without checking and double checking the measurements on both sides so I knew what I was buying. If you have any complaints about the size I'm sorry but you need to make sure what you buy fits well in the space allotted is entirely up to you. I'm crazy how much a little tray can do. . It was exactly what made my coffee table better. Before I bought this tray I had a fake succulent and only coasters next to each other. My cat is always sitting or lying on the coffee table and for some reason (before) has always walked and sat between two objects, often ending up on two different ends of the table. By putting this tray on the table it not only prevented it from moving/pushing those things, it also gave me the opportunity to replace the decor with a real plant and vase and it looked so much better. Unfortunately that didn't stop my cat from laying somewhere on the table haha. This is the perfect piece for small centerpieces on a coffee or dining table or elsewhere. Of course you can also use it as a serving tray.
