Review on ANDYCINE A6 Monitor 1920X1080 Gimbals by Cameron Badoni

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Incredible value for money

I heard about Andicine from a friend who admires it. I thought the price was too good to be true but also too good to pass up so I bought a few of their items, the first being this A6 monitor. I have no words for how good this monitor is for the price. With what you get and the features this monitor has, you're really lucky at a time we live in as filmmakers. This monitor has focus peaking, false color, anamorphic mode, 16x zoom, incredible sharpness and clarity, a swivel mount and even comes with a very nice (much better than I expected) lens hood. And all this for a monitor for less than $200? I can't believe we live in a time where we can get wrong colors on a sub $200 monitor. It just amazes me. The color accuracy seems fantastic, it's very neutral with no excess coloring and oversaturation. I was also surprised by the clarity of the screen. It's crisp and bright, with superior color uniformity compared to any other monitor, regardless of the price. The size and weight are perfect, it's very light and seems to work great with my Ronin-S. Brightness seems better than my SmallHD focus. I can shoot during the day and to be honest I don't even need a sun visor most of the time. 1 Sony NPF battery seems to last forever. The monitor is slim and light, and it's a lot more than I can ask for at this price point. A few years ago it would have been unthinkable to buy something like this at an affordable price. If you want a slim and small monitor, you really have no excuse. It has most of the features any filmmaker would need and I don't see any obvious flaws in it. Highly recommended.
