After poor lighting on my first pair, I returned this set and bought another. BTW when testing these lights make sure the battery/source is at least 12 volts. anything else leads to confusing results. Also, they pull a lot more amps than expected (until you see how BRIGHT they are!). So when your battery is close to voltage, it will quickly discharge to a level below what is required. My bike is completely bent and doesn't have outer tubes to accommodate it, so I had to make the brackets and spend EVERYTHING to install and align them. Your mileage may vary. It's always recommended to use a relay rather than connecting directly to an existing light wiring like I did. This isn't usually a problem with additional LEDs as you're wired to non-LED headlights unless the existing wiring is barely capable of supporting the load as is. Last note. To make them REALLY waterproof, please wrap the entire light canister in vinyl tape or something similar and cut holes for the two mounting screws. When installing the screws, coat the threads with silicone or something similar and remove the excess. You can also add silicon to the "tail" of the flashlight where the wiring runs, but that's mostly empty space, so that's probably not a problem. I added some desiccant to this area, just in case. Voila! Perfect Lanterns!
