Review on πŸ“š School Smart Paper Edger Scissors - Set of 6 - Assorted Colors - SEO-optimized Version by Doris Tran

Revainrating 3 out of 5

You will work. Best in Scissors

Update 10/03/2017: My 3-star rating still stands. A year and a half later, only about half of the scissors still work well. Most of them have become dull and stopped cutting clear patterns and just fold the paper, while others are starting to leave a few torn edges. None of them have cut clean in months. I've heard that cutting thick foil with it will sharpen the edges - didn't work for me! However, we used them quite a bit while they lasted, and they were well worth the price (about a dollar for a pair). Also, we have a bunch of different scissors and I've tried a lot of ways to organize them - bins. , bags etc and recently stumbled upon the best way - a tiered fruit basket! I've added this image to the others for my initial review - this patterned pair of scissors is at the bottom along with large regular size scissors, child size scissors in the middle and a hole punch at the top. It was a great way to make them easily accessible without looking messy! :)************************************************ ************************************************ **************************************************** ************** ****** ********* When these shears arrived I was a little surprised at how tiny they really were despite reading reviews and Read specs and expected them to be small. These are definitely kid sized scissors and they are perfect for my 5 year old's hands. I can use them, but they're not very practical. Packaging - My order arrived in a small box, with each pair of scissors individually wrapped in a clear plastic bag and neatly sealed with a label. Cutting - I like the choice of shapes. Each has the name of the shape printed on the back of the scissors which is fun. They cut paper fairly easily, but not quite cleanly, and cutting something of any substantial size takes time - the blades are usefully only about 1 1/2 inches long since you can't cut the paper too close to the paper. Tip or back of the blade, otherwise it will squeeze the paper instead of cutting it. The quality is pretty cheap, the quality I would expect in a dollar store. I suspect that the actual body of the scissors will outlive the blades as they are a bit dull. Overall they will work for what I bought them for but next time I will try a different brand and hope for a better size, blade quality and length. This is not a poor purchase though, my kids will definitely enjoy them. :)
