The first thing I would like to say about this is that it requires some assembly work to use. Installation isn't too difficult, but it may require an extra person to help you set it up. It's not the lightest bar and that's okay, you don't want this thing to fall off easily. That being said, once installed it is very durable. My cat can jump on it with no problem. The claw is pretty cute. My cat can scratch it for hours and there is no problem with it. The hanging toy is pretty good too, but it doesn't keep her entertained for long. This is a pretty strong rope, even if the cat hangs on it, it won't break. The toy is an ordinary ball (nothing special). I'm not sure if you can easily change the toy. My cat was also attached to it and the pole held up well. The top is good and my cat has slept on it a few times. She can climb it very easily. Material Not sure how to actually wash it. After a while it gets visibly dirty and I just wipe it off with a damp towel. The material isn't the softest, which is good. It's more like a rough rug than anything else. Hair and the like get stuck, which is a bit annoying. The color is pleasant (although it clashes with most indoor flowers), but it gets dirty very quickly. You will get some messy discoloration over time, especially if your cat uses this a lot. Other than that, this is a pretty good post. The scratch is strong and everything is very strong so it won't fall off. The only downside is that the paint gets dirty quickly.
