I WANTED TO LOVE BUT IT'S REALLY NOT THAT GOOD

I really wanted to love this product but it's not that good. I was so excited to try it before it arrived because I've always been an OXO fan. But the thing doesn't work properly. It has a sharp knife and a blade that slices quickly, but the design falls short on some small vegetables like carrots and cucumbers that have little surface area to be held by a protective holder. The holder has a spring on the other side, which means that you cannot put vegetables on the holder without pressing them against the board. This should be a good idea for safety reasons, but then the surface area to push is too small and the veggies end up being cut in half. And it actually took a lot of strength to keep the protector in place. There's also no way to cut off the last piece as the blade isn't high enough to work with so you end up losing most of the buggy. You will understand what I mean when you see the photos. This only works for potatoes, tomatoes or onions etc I think? So it's definitely not worth more than 80€. And if carrots get stuck between the blades, they will be very difficult to peel. Will return.
