10ft Cable: High data rate, low charge rate

As other reviews have said, the physical quality of the cable and connectors is very good. I bought the 10ft version of this USB 3.2 cable to use Oculus Link with my Quest 2 when they started adding the experimental Air Link feature. I didn't do a direct comparison between the (wired) Oculus Link connection and the (wireless) Air Link connection because I'm having issues with my PC, but I did some in-depth comparisons between this cable and other USB cables C- Cables: I've tested three different USB-A to USB-C cables, this 10 foot KRX cable, the 6 foot Anker cable, and a cheap 3 foot cable with no name that I bought in a few years ago bought from the drugstore when USB-C cables were still very popular. expensive at most stores. For each cable, I tested transfer speeds by copying the 638MB ISO file to my Moto Z3 phone and then three times to my Quest 2, using the same process to minimize click differences. Once I had the transfer time, I divided the file size by the number of seconds to find the average file copy transfer rate in megabytes per second (MB/s). I also checked the charging speed of each cable through the USB 3 quick port on my laptop. -Charging dock using the Ampere app on my phone to get low and high amperage with my battery starting at around 50% to ensure charging speed is not affected by the phone's current slowdown circuitry when the battery approaches full charging is approaching. For each load test, I waited three full minutes to ensure the load speed was consistent; in each case, the charge rate remained close to 90% of maximum after about 60 seconds. The app displays the minimum and maximum charge rates in milliamps (mA). Here are the results for each test: 1. 10ft KRX cable (on this page): Copy to Moto Z3: 71.20-76.13MB/s (average 74.25MB/s) Copy to Quest 2: 186.55-196.91 MB/s (192.46 MB/s average) Charging: 480-800 mA (640 mA average) 2. Anker 6ft cable (also from Revain): Copy to Moto Z3 : 22.93-23.33 MB/s (average 23.13 MB/s) Copy to Quest 2: 33.56-34.21 MB/s (average 33.89 MB/s) Charge: 840-1320 mA (1080mA average) Quest 2: 33.92-34.81MB/s (34.37MB/s average) Charging: 970-1330mA (1150mA average) takes a long time to charge my phone. So I switched to my unnamed cable, which has given me reliable charging speeds for a long time, and noticed a big difference, which prompted this review. As the numbers show, this KRX cable is great for transferring large files. flash memory that is too fast (and apparently the Quest 2 has *much* faster memory than my relatively old phone!), but it also loads very slowly. The unnamed cable was sold as a charging cable, so it's actually quite surprising that it transfers data almost as fast as the much more expensive and much higher quality Anker cable, but the biggest surprise is how much it outperforms Anker, too. And that's KRX -Cable when charging! Judging by other reviews, it was possible that I had a charging issue for some reason, but at the moment Revain doesn't offer me return options. We hope the seller will respond to this review with an offer to exchange the cable for a different one, as the listing specifically mentions one of its features as "Fast charging: 3A current enables fast charging".
