Works great I use Macbook Pros 15 inch 2017 and up and MacBook Airs 2018 and up. Should be just as good on any modern Macbook with USBC/Thunderbolt 2 ports. No external power is required and I get high network and data transfer speeds. Better than carrying around 2 separate dongles (aka the dirty 'd' word) Less administration/hunting/waste for an IT pro like me Trendnet has been using their diverse set of networking and communications products for more than 12 years: from Ethernet fiber converters/transceivers that span many hundreds of feet/floors to Gigabit Ethernet/PoE switches, injectors and down to those adapters. Since it's a metal/aluminum body versus plastic, this hasn't been an issue so far
