I've bought a multi tool shovel like this ax before and while it was great it didn't feel as "urgent" as I would have liked since it had to be assembled for use. The axe, on the other hand, is fully assembled and since it comes with a sheath and isn't that big, it's easy to throw in my suitcase when I need it. The ax itself is all metal and looks well built, and everything turns and feels solid in your hand. They even included a very nice soft/grippy camouflage strap that wraps around the handles, which adds a lot to the comfort in the hand. The only issues I have with the ax are with the blade section, its "screw" part is plastic. However, it is more of a replacement knife, as I already have a better one in the car. Overall I think this ax is great and perfect for my needs. Whether you are looking for a camping ax or a suitcase tool for your car, this can meet all needs.
