I think this would be a great learning tool for girls and boys who love baseball and/or softball. Remember these are plastic balls and you cannot use "real" balls. Adjustable is great. The balls come pretty fast, but not too fast. You can teach your child to pay attention to the car to see when it releases the ball. If it had the option to plug it into an outlet I would give it 5 stars. Batteries are great for portability, but they drain pretty quickly if you leave them on. We turn it on/off between players to save battery life. A good tool to teach basic eye-hand coordination in baseball and softball.
