I wear a size 13 regular for Vans, Adidas casual shoes, New Balance and size 12 for work/duty boots and chucks. This size 13 shoe fits exactly how I would expect a size 13 to fit based on all previous shoes I've had as mentioned above. I needed a replacement for my FiveTen Freerider XVI mountain bike shoes and decided to give them a try. They have a very sporty style, similar to the FiveTens as opposed to the standard skateboard shoe. The tongue isn't too soft like some shoes I prefer. In my opinion, they look sportier and more age-appropriate than the padded, loosely laced models favored by teenagers. The sizing and width is a 13 on almost every brand I can think of. In fact, the laces are the same length, which is a nice touch and great attention to detail. A colleague of mine ordered the DC Pure trainers in his usual "van" size and they were actually too small as some reviewers of the product have pointed out. I think he mentioned it was half the size 10 he ordered. With this model, there were no such problems at all. Looks great and meets expectations. At half the price of the FiveTens, I'm happy and satisfied with their cross-country performance with flat pedals. You have foolish expectations when you have special arch support needs and choose skateboard shoes without proper insoles. Overall very happy with them apart from previous experience with their durability.
