My dog loves it plus his fur is so soft and shiny from eating. I haven't noticed any side effects from eating it, he's a little guy and a 22lb bag will usually last around 6 months (I keep it in an airtight container) as long as I can keep my cats from eating it, but the problem lasts Time. This food stinks but don't let that fool you as as far as I can tell it's good food. I used to feed him blue buffalo but he wasn't as big a fan as he was and he still scratched pretty badly plus he remembered it so I cut him off the cheaper food from the start. The bottom line is that it's easy on the pocket, but it seems like a good thing. I'm no food expert but my little man loves it.
