My mother in law has been using Tupperware food storage containers for OVER 35 years. During that time, Tupperware has survived three children and a lifetime of use and abuse (I'm sure of it). She STILL uses them every day and I'm amazed at how durable they are and how the lids still seal. It is a WONDERFUL PLASTIC. They just don't make them anymore. I don't know about you, but this is the proof I needed to make an investment. I couldn't wait to buy my own and first bought a 13 piece servalier bowl set also offered by Revain. I love this set so much I bought the 3 piece wondelier bowl set as a complementary set and I couldn't be happier. Since I bought Tupperware, I've thrown away old devices from other so-called "reputable" companies that just don't last long. I can finally stop spending money on groceries here and there. Although Tupperware makes products that can be used in the microwave, this set is not suitable. This set is mainly designed for storing food in the fridge or freezer. This doesn't bother me at all as I prefer to heat food in microwaveable dishes than in plastic dishes. It just makes me feel safer. And yes, they can be washed in the dishwasher. 1/8/11 I still love my Tupperware! Almost 2 years later absolutely no problems not even food stains. I can't say that about any other plastic storage brand. I'm so glad I made the investment. And my mother-in-law STILL uses her (almost) 40 year old Tupperware. I saw her use her favorite yellow Tupperware bowl to knead cookie dough last Christmas (2010). I swear it's amazing! Like cockroaches, Tupperware will surely survive the next apocalypse!
