At first it was immediately clear to me that both the blue and black versions, which I bought at the same time, had to be returned. Read on if you're wondering why. What a pity! There is simply no finish in this product and it looks like a quality control issue. I bought the blue version to match my Oceaneva Deep Marine Explorer Blue Mother of Pearl and immediately noticed the thickness of the leather on the lugs was too thick and the chafing of the watch case with the strap without the clasp. I've never experienced this issue with any of the other straps I've ever used on this particular watch, so it's specific to this strap. The strap that the buckle is on does not have this friction problem. I tried to thin it with pressure but it didn't work. See photos. I bought the black version as I was looking for an inexpensive faded leather strap to pair with my black Steinhart Ocean One and was very happy to find this strap. I installed and thought it looked great. Until I saw that the buckleless strap hadn't really faded. What a bummer again. It just looks silly with such a great watch. See photo again. I ended up buying both straps together and unfortunately I will be returning both due to a silly quality assurance oversight. Looks like I'll just bite the bullet and buy a more expensive version from another company. A missed opportunity as I am in several watch groups and due to this oversight I cannot recommend this product to other enthusiasts.
