[3y. Update] You will be very impressed even if you switch from another electric toothbrush.

[3 years. Update] Given that this review has helped hundreds of people, I want to keep it updated. Unfortunately after 3 years my toothbrush fell off the height of my mouth and ruined it. Now it is making a loud noise while operating and has lost its cleaning power. I take this opportunity to supplement my review with some insights I have gained over the past three years. Hope you find it useful!1. It could have had better build quality: while I take full responsibility for the drop, for almost $200 I expect a little more reliability than a one-drop kill. Especially since I've never dropped it. Before you buy, please note that you might have to shell out another $200 if you drop it ONLY ONCE.2. Expensive Replacement Heads: Each head is more expensive than a regular toothbrush. Again, you think the upfront cost will save you some money later - no, you end up paying more than ever! I think Ferrari costs more to maintain.3. It turns out that the app is not very useful: after using it 3-4 times in the first week, it turns out that adding another step to the routine several times a day is difficult. The information the app gives you isn't all that useful to look at occasionally and it's a hassle to set up every time. No offense to the development team that created the app, it's really nice, but I'd rather see Philips invest their money in hardware and pass those savings on to consumers. I'm deducting two stars for these reasons. Seems like a lot but a one shot kill did it for me. A quick look at Revain also reveals other electric toothbrushes with similar capabilities and at a much lower price. I like the Philips brand, but this time I will most likely try a different brush. I will keep this review up to date. [Original review] I recently switched to this Philips Sonicare Flexcare toothbrush and it was well worth it. If you are considering switching from a traditional toothbrush to an electric or sonic toothbrush, I would recommend you do so immediately. For me, buying an electric toothbrush was the best investment I've made in personal hygiene. This is something I use multiple times a day and every time I switch to a traditional toothbrush or for any reason I can tell a difference. Even my dentist is amazed every time I go for a teeth cleaning about twice a year, the sessions are very short as there is practically no plaque. If you are new to the field I wouldn't waste my time looking at other options and looking straight for the best money can buy and thankfully you need look no further as this is the product. Here are the main reasons why I like it: - Good for travel / long battery life: I didn't get it at first but the battery lasted me over two weeks on a single charge! I just put it in a travel case and forget to charge it for a while. Easy charging: Unlike my Sonicare Flexcare, you don't have to place your toothbrush on the charging contact, you can simply place it in the charger. loading glass. The mug can be easily washed which is a big plus. They want this process to be as easy as possible and this provides the best experience I could ever imagine. Seamless/waterproof/beautiful design: Over time, my old Fexcare toothbrush started to smell bad because of water and dirt collecting on the seams between my teeth. Rubber in the lower loading zone. I can already say that this won't happen with this toothbrush as it is one piece and seamless. I would also like to point out that the toothbrush and charging cup look really great, I am proud of having guests come into my bathroom and rave about this gadget. I'm trying to convince my wife to buy the same pink toothbrush, not just because it's a great product, but because our bathroom will look even better. Useful smartphone app: To be honest, I thought the app was useless, but I was completely wrong. I develop software products for a living and I can say that Philips has invested considerable resources in developing a really useful mobile application. I'm amazed at how well the accelerometers and pressure sensors work and the useful information they relay to improve your brushing technique and tell you where you've missed a spot. Over brushing is a real problem with electric toothbrushes as in extreme cases it can wear down your gums. This toothbrush will tell you when you're overdoing it so you don't have to worry! You don't need an app for this, although the toothbrush has a light on the bottom to let you know if you're applying too much pressure - Overall a very thoughtful user experience, from unboxing to first use I enjoyed every corner. One of the best consumer electronics experiences I've ever had. Hope that helps! Hugo
