Good performance at a low price

I was looking for a soft carrier for my cat because she hates plastic carriers so much. I hope she's not so afraid of the dodge. I also have another tall boy (16lbs) and the way the top separates from the bottom of the plastic backing makes me afraid to pick him up by the handle. I bought three because I was having a hard time deciding and this is what I'll probably keep to myself. First, it's the largest of the three. I didn't think an inch here and there would make much of a difference, but it shows, and like I said, I'm having a big boy. He needs space. The mat on the bottom is also a hard material so I'm not worried about it bending under their weight like the PVC mat does. The downside is that while it's soft, it's not very comfortable. The one with PVC also has pieces of foam which makes it soft and comfortable and I wish this one had some foam. But I don't plan on using it for long trips, just trips to the vet, so it doesn't really matter. The other downside to this rug is that it's not machine washable like the others, which sucks, especially since it's a light color. The main reason I chose this one is that the design has the most pros and the fewest cons of the three I bought. One of the others was quickly rejected because the ends had to be zipped shut in order for it to stand, leaving only a very small side entrance and top opening. The sides also hold this up (so they fold up for storage) however there is a separate opening at one end and the side opening is quite large (as is the top but everyone has it). I would like the end hole to open downwards instead of upwards so it can stay open on its own, but I can live with it the way it is. Another nice touch is that the side and end vents have covers you can see for darkness/privacy with velcro or zippered for your cat. a bottom that may or may not help keep it clean and a pocket at the end that isn't a hole. Each has something inside that can be connected with a collar so your furry friend doesn't run away when you want to open it. Straps, handles and zippers seem fine; nothing special but I didn't spend a lot of money. It was only around $16 on its prime, so it's a really good deal. We'll see how it holds up after some use and I'll update my review if anything changes in my opinion.
