The collar is excellent. I use them with magnets when I'm wearing a collared shirt and no tie and they keep my collar in place perfectly. The magnets are strong and won't fall off, but are also easy to adjust. I use them without the magnetic back when wearing a tie. These collar stoppers are designed for shirts with slits sewn into the collar (most classic button-down shirts are less common with more casual shirts like polo shirts).
