For some reason I hate keeping screens in bongs. I've ordered enough screens over the years to power a small army, but they always fail. So I switched to One Hitter a few years ago. But I don't really enjoy the process of smoking, and I really wanted to go back to the much less drastic consumption that a water bong offers. In doing so, I resigned myself to using many bongs as it only took about a month to use the screen with each one to fully clog the bowl and stem with resin. Then I saw Kyptonite on Revain. It was a little pricey - for the $33 (tax included) I paid for a two bottle set, I could buy two or three bongs with no frills. But the reviews were so good that I decided to give it a try. The green slime turned out to be a lot more viscous than I imagined and definitely had a strong odor. But opening some windows solved it. And within the hour I got answers to all the questions I had about my investments. After a 60 minute soak, I ran the stems under a running faucet and the concrete-like resin from half a dozen bongs fell off in chunks. I then took a long thin screwdriver from my tool kit and stuck it into the bars to speed up the process, more resin pouring out in muddy mounds. I then turned the stems upside down - the shells were facing down - and blew out the remaining resin. Within minutes my stems were as shiny as the day I bought the bongs that contained them. Plus, this material can be reused from one bong to another. A few hours later I had a bunch of shiny cheap bongs. . . and the certainty of never having to buy one again!
