After reading some of the other reviews I didn't have high hopes for these but to be honest they are very pleasant indeed. I washed and dried them before use and they didn't shed at all. They are very soft (and I didn't even use fabric softener) and the towels are quite big. The large towels are a bit smaller than the other towels in the closet but not enough to make a difference. Washed laundry is washed laundry. These are small square lobes. Ha. They don't seem as thick as towels, but that's ok. I will buy another set if I ever paint the bathroom. They're good enough to be on display but cheap enough to use every day.
