Not that difficult to assemble. Although sometimes I got into very awkward situations trying to put some screws in it. The office is beautiful. However, the back panel had no holes in the wood to screw on the back panel. So I had to find some small big headed nails to install the back panel and nail the panel. Assembly out of the box was excellent packaging. No damage. However, the color shows that the aged gray looks more like an aged brown than grey, a very slightly aged gray on the case. I really wanted it to match the other pieces in my living room so everything fell into place. So the color wasn't that great.
