True to size, it's very flat so our dog doesn't try to pull it off like he does with all beds and rugs. Also, it's so flat that he can't chew it because it sticks perfectly to the bottom of the box. However the fabric lasted about 2 days before starting to wear out just from sleeping on it (not even directly as we put the bed on it first). It immediately started falling off like an old sweater in the washing machine and you feel like you want to take a razor blade and shave it. So I don't know what to think of that! For what we need it's ok! We just had to make sure the hair didn't end up on the box and that does the job. Anything else, especially if you're looking for any evidence, I wouldn't bother. PS Washing in the washing machine was fine, but before we got to it it looked bad. Rschunimagu
