When I first used it I was inclined to give it a negative review as the cleaning part partially came off the sponge fairly quickly. But now that I've been using them longer, I have 5 stars and up. The back can be partially detached but for now it works perfectly and stays flat for use. But best of all, even after a few weeks of neglect, my sponge doesn't stink and looks and feels just as good as the first day. However, it does not have to be thrown away. (I've tried every method of "cleaning" a regular sponge and wasn't impressed.) I just smelled one of these sponges that last a couple of weeks and I'm ready to throw it away. BUT it's totally normal. The rest would already be irrevocable.
