The first impression out of the box - I liked the look, but then - the smell let me down. I bought it claiming it was a "genuine leather" upper but the smell was beyond dangerous. My initial guess was that they smelled like "leather" - in other words, NOT leather at all. fake. Plastic. The look and feel is incredibly realistic. More realistic than any skin I've seen before. At this point, I concluded that the smell was an odd skin chemical. it - i like the look - not "normal" has a fun ("exotic".ish) flare. I would not wear them in a purely formal/business setting. But it's great to take a regular suit or pants in a different direction. Fit and feel are good. I used European sizing (the ones in the 40's) to determine the correct fit.
