I didn't think I was missing anything when CAGS is enabled. I'm glad I spent a few bucks to get this workaround. On my transmission (2004 Pontiac GTO with 6 speed manual), the CAGS is on the driver's side, just above the pressure control inlet and about halfway up the side. I don't have a picture of it, but when you're under the car the CAGS sensor looks like the sensor on the end of this adapter (the lighter end). If you see it on your gearbox, you've found it. Carefully detach the CAGS, being careful not to break the tab. Look at the adapter, you will see a tab on the end that secures the connector. There is a similar one on the CAGS connected to your transmission - do not break this tab. The kit includes some zip ties which I used to secure the adapter to the drivetrain using an unused bolt hole. It took me longer to find the CAGS on the transmission than to install this adapter. I made this project while under the car changing the oil.
