Item arrived exactly as described. I only gave one star for the poor instructions. They say the batteries should be installed with the positive side towards the cutting blades, the attached picture shows the batteries in the opposite direction. None of the methods worked and I was on the verge of returning the item. Then I thought about flipping one of the batteries (that's how they look like most devices where - if there are two batteries - they face opposite directions). Of course it did the trick. So if you ignore the battery instructions and follow the "normal" process, you'll be fine. :-)
